The company was founded in 2006 by Helena Hügin Keles and Tekin Keles. From the beginning, the focus has been on the distribution of Airpop popcorn machines and the corresponding popcorn kernels. The corn plants thrive in the sunny north of Spain. Immediately after harvesting, the kernels are treated with a special process. They are coated with a delicate layer that gives the popcorn your chosen flavor. This coating is available in sweet, vanilla, or salty varieties.

Popcorn-World, together with a partner company, secured the exclusive rights to this patented corn. And also for the new coin-operated machines that can pop fresh, flavored popcorn at the touch of a button. Interest from vending machine operators and customers was high from the start.
